Who We Are
The Church of the Epiphany is located in the Village of Cloudcroft in the Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico at 8,000 ft. We meet in a lovely 100+ yr. old building that has been restored and nestles in a grove of aspens. We are a welcoming congregation under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, by the grace of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit. We proclaim the Word, administer the Sacraments, living together in fellowship and prayer. Since Cloudcroft is a tourist community, we have a major ministry to visitors and we have many Christian denominations represented in our congregation. We are an Anglican Church affiliated with the Anglican Church in North America. (ACNA) The ACNA is a Christian Denomination in the Anglican Tradition in the United States, Canada and Mexico. We are part of the Anglican Diocese of the Southwest, (ADSW) The Rt. Reverend Steven Tighe, Bishop. The ADSW is comprised of churches in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Mexico.
What is Anglicanism?
Anglicanism is a worldwide body of Christians that traces its history to the Church of England. Anglicanism brings together the theology of the Protestant reformation with the beauty of historic worship. We are a global community living out our faith in local communities.
Our beliefs and doctrine are found in the following documents:
The Holy Bible
The English Standard version is the one we use in our worship services
The Anglican Book of Common Prayer
The Apostles Creed
The Nicene Creed
The Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion
(found in the ABCP)
“To Be A Christian”
An Anglican Catechism
The Jerusalem Declaration
